Privacy information for MK Hosting enquiries.
This notice explains the information used when you contact MK Hosting through this website and the security data needed to protect the form.
Who controls your information
Netro Technology Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through the MK Hosting website. MK Hosting is a trading brand operated by Netro Technology Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company 10081362, with its registered office at 22 Darin Court, Crownhill, Milton Keynes MK8 0AD.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you choose to provide: your name, company, email address, phone number, selected service and message. The form also uses an essential session cookie and temporary server-side session values for a CSRF token, form issue time and a short submission cooldown. The server observes the network IP address to apply the abuse control described below.
Purposes and lawful bases
We use enquiry details to respond, understand your requirements, discuss relevant services and take steps you request before a possible contract. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract where that applies, and our legitimate interests in answering business enquiries, operating the service and keeping the form secure. We may also retain or disclose limited information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
How long information is kept
Enquiry emails and related correspondence are kept only for as long as needed to answer and follow up the enquiry, establish or administer any resulting service, maintain appropriate business records, and meet legal, regulatory or dispute-resolution requirements. The retention period therefore depends on the nature and status of the enquiry and any legal need; information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required.
Form security, sessions and rate limiting
The essential session cookie is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax and has no fixed browser expiry. It supports CSRF protection, form timing and a 30-second successful-submission cooldown. The site also applies a cross-session limit of five attempts per 10 minutes for each server-observed network address.
For that limit, the address is transformed with a secret-keyed SHA-256 HMAC into a pseudonymous rate-limit identifier before limiter state is written. Attempt timestamps are retained only for abuse control and are pruned after 20 minutes. No raw IP address or form submission is stored in the limiter files. Limiter files are kept outside the web root with restricted permissions.
Your data-protection rights
Subject to the conditions in UK data-protection law, you may ask for access to your personal information, rectification of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing, or data portability. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can raise a concern about how your information has been used, and you will not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing through this enquiry form.
